Oh man, these two. Lindsey’s first email to me mad me want to run and hug her. Her vision was perfect, but more so, she and I connected so quickly and it was solely through email. I felt like we were pen pals for a while, meeting her felt like she was an old friend I had known forever!
Before photographing their engagements, I had never been to Aiken. I fell in love with that adorable town as soon as I spotted the gorgeous historic houses, tree lined drives, and Spanish moss. If you haven’t been to Aiken, I can’t recommend it enough! I was lucky enough to visit for their engagements, Lindsey’s bridals, and then their wedding day!
On the day of their wedding there was a 90% chance of rain. Not the best thing to see when the entire wedding day is planned for outside. I overheard one of the bridesmaids say “Joe and Linds love the Lord, and the lord is going to bless them today.” Well friends, He did immeasurably more that day. Not only did it stop raining as soon as we stared photos for their first look, but the sun made it’s debut during their portraits after the ceremony.
These two deserve the world. So, so grateful that their story and their day was featured on Cake and Lace, you can view their gorgeous feature here!
