The Nichols Cottage | Guest Room

This room has been one of my favorite little projects. When I took the month of September off, I decided that I really wanted to invest some time into our home! I wanted to finish designing our guest room, as well as our outdoor porch area within that month timeframe & having a “deadline” really helped me get things done!

With that being said, welcome to our new guest room!

I wanted to keep the room super simple, bright, and inviting. We painted the room Sherwin Williams Big Chill, which brightened up the space and made it more cohesive with the rest of the house. We also painted our living room the same color & I couldn’t be happier with it!

I stumbled upon the headboard randomly one day when I was perusing TJ Maxx. I laid eyes on it, checked the price, and knew that I had to have it! Truthfully, I didn’t have a plan for it or know how I was going to get it home, but I purchased it right then and there. It was less than $150 which was a STEAL because it definitely looks more high end. Easily my biggest win for this space!

Pretty much everything else was purchased from Target, I kid you not. The bedding, pillows, frames, lamps, and bed tray were all from Target. I repurposed the bedside table with a gray chalk paint & a knob from World Market, such a money saver and I absolutely love it’s more modern look.

Alright people, our guest room is ready! We are now taking visitors 😉

Room color:  Sherwin Williams Big Chill
Headboard | gold side table | curtains:  TJ Maxx
Bedding | pillows | lamps | frames | blanket | tray:  Target
Botanical floral prints:  Etsy

I thought it would be fun to show a few before and after photos! When we moved in, this room became the hodge podge room. The furniture was gifted to us & chalk painted, and everything else came from our townhouse in Mauldin. There was also one periwinkle accent wall that had to go, haha!
