Sara and Josh have known each other for years. They went to college together and were always friends, never really thinking anything more of their friendship. Sara’s junior year & Josh’s sophomore year they went on a date, but not much came of that first date. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of their story! Years flew by, 10 to be exact, and they always stayed friends. Over the years both of them moved to new cities – Josh lived in San Diego, CA to work in ministry and Sara lived in Greenville, SC.
In July of 2016, Josh visited Asheville and Sara & a group of friends met him for dinner. He called Sara after dinner claiming they didn’t get to catch up much, and after an hour long conversation, the spark was reignited. As Ben Rector would say, “and that’s how the story would end,” the rest is history. They had a long distance relationship that spanned the country, so August 16th was long awaited for!
This day was super special for me. Sara and I were in the same community group for three years, so I had the opportunity to get to know her & her heart so, so well. She’s a gem of a person, and it has been so neat to watch the Lord work in her life. I have been so honored to witness her walking into dating, engagement, and now marriage with Josh. Let me tell you something, he loves her with every fiber of his being, I know that’s cliche but y’all – I don’t know any truer words. Marriage looks really, really good on you Mr. and Mrs. Bingham!
