Katie and David met through a mutual friend on weekend when David came to visit, and the rest is history! The two dated for 3 years prior to their engagement, and truly wanted a celebration that honored their faith and their commitment to one another. Their wedding day was nestled in the Asheville, NC Mountains at Claxton Farms with a ceremony space that will take your breath away. The styling and florals of Kate Asire Flowers truly brought this day to life, with draped greenery and very natural florals that seemed to fit perfectly in this mountain setting.
Katie and David decided to do a first look under the willow tree by the pond. Their first time seeing one another was sweet, intimate, and meaningful. Despite opting for a first look, David still could not hold back the tears when his bride approached him down the aisle. The weight of that moment could not escape either of them despite the raindrops coming down. This day was sweet and meaningful, and truly captivated the beauty of the Asheville mountains.
Their natural color palette flowed into the wardrobe of their bridal party. The ladies wore blush dresses in different styles from Bella Bridesmaids, and the men wore classic navy suits from Jos. A. Bank. While the ceremony took place in the valley of the mountains, dinner was served under a beautiful white tent, and dancing took place in the beautifully updated barn. Music was provided by the fabulous Erica Berg Collective.
Katie and David, thank you for including me in on such a special season, and such a special day. You two are the real deal and I am so honored to know you! This gorgeous day will be featured on Grey Likes Weddings in late February 2017!
