Kalyn + Josh | Carriage House Wedding in Charleston, SC

Man. Kalyn and Josh, I just love them.

These two met 6.5 years ago while on the College of Charleston swim team. Kalyn mentioned in her first email to me that she “immediately knew there was something special about Josh by the way he cared for each and every person he met.” Well sweet Kalyn, I can say the same exact thing about you! This girl is selfless, caring, and brings a lightness to all situations. Whenever I was around her I always felt loved & appreciated. It’s honestly hard to not feel welcomed and cared for by Kalyn and Josh when you’re around them, I bet all of their friends would agree 100% with that statement!

I find selflessness to be extremely important in a marriage. This is one of the reasons I knew Josh was the man I wanted to marry. Josh always puts others before himself. Ever since we first met, he has gone above and beyond to make me feel like the most important person in the world. When two people are devoted to putting the person they love before themselves, how can you not be happy!?

They chose The Carriage House in Charleston because they felt that it truly showcased all the things they love about the low country. It’s beautiful, by the water, and so peaceful and quaint. Their day was joyful and calm, just like them. The girls got ready at Middleton Place & portraits took place under a huge oak at Magnolia. Seriously, this day was dripping in beautiful light and spanish moss, my little photographer heart about burst.

Kalyn and Josh’s first look was one of my favorite moments. There were all sorts of emotions, but my most favorite part was how Josh just couldn’t quit looking at his bride. A close second was Kalyn’s first look with her father and grand father with her mother and bridesmaids watching from a distance. Everyone had tear filled eyes. Mmm. I still get all the feels thinking about it. I am so excited to share September 30, 2016 with all of you!
